What will you do?
At Hawaiian Poké Bowl, we’re looking for a Financial Controller (Head of Accounting) to lead and future-proof our finance operations. In this key role, you’ll oversee our accounting team, ensure compliance across the board, and improve our financial processes.
As our Financial Controller, you’re responsible for ensuring accurate reporting and compliance across all of Hawaiian’s legal entities. You’ll lead a small but strong team, keep deadlines on track, optimize internal processes, and serve as the main contact for external accountants and auditors.
Your key responsibilities:
Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting across all entities
Ensure tax and regulatory compliance
Lead and support a team of 3 accountants (AP + general ledger)
Roll out new financial policies and continuous process improvements
Act as the main point of contact for external accountants and auditors
Who are we looking for?
You’re an experienced finance professional who thrives on structure, ownership, and supporting others to perform at their best. You’re analytical, hands-on, and have a sharp eye for both details and deadlines.
Must-haves:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or similar
5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a leadership role
Deep understanding of end-to-end accounting processes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with Exact Online
Highly accurate, independent, and solution-oriented
Fluency in Dutch and English
Nice-to-haves:
Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
